GUEST HOUSE NUIT BLANCHE, Bruges – A Smart Stay in the City
About the Hotel
Historic Canal-Side Location
Guest House Nuit Blanche sits along the Gruuthuse Canal beside the St Bonifacius Bridge, 300 meters from the Basilica of the Holy Blood. The medieval mansion hosted Winston Churchill and Belgium's King Albert and Queen Paola on their honeymoon. The Markt square and Belfry are 5 minutes away on foot.
Two Themed Bedrooms
Choose between two rooms: Lune de Miel (Medieval Room) where Belgium's royals honeymooned, or Pasionaria (Gothic Room) with a wooden barrel-vaulted ceiling. Both include free minibar, fireplace, DVD player, sofa, and views of the Church of Our Lady or garden. Bathrobes and a film projector are provided.
Artist-Hosted Three-Course Breakfast
Host David De Graef prepares a daily three-course breakfast using fruit, vegetables, dairy, cereals, and delicatessen. Served in your room or his art studio with one of seven gothic fireplaces. The menu changes according to his daily inspiration.
Medieval Garden and Studio
The sunny-walled garden features the Gothic spire of the Church of Our Lady as its backdrop. David's art studio, open daily from 13:00-18:00, contains original gothic fireplaces. The property maintains medieval authenticity over modern comforts.
Proximity to Museums and Dining
Steps from the Groeningemuseum, Church of Our Lady, and Saint John's Hospital museum. Michelin-starred Den Gouden Harynck is on the same street; Den Heerd is a short walk away. De Halve Maan Brewery and Hoeke Windmill are within visiting distance. Reasonably priced public parking is available nearby.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
I felt like I was living in a fairy tale in this hotel with its 15th-century stained glass windows and a view that you would find in a storybook. Watching movies in front of the bed on a screen was a unique experience, and the spectacular view added to the charm. The hotel is a gem, but there were a few small drawbacks like the touristy area and price considerations.
I can't recommend this hotel enough! The rooms offer a breathtaking view of the Church of Our Lady, complete with original 15th-century stained glass windows; it's like something from a picture book. I loved the screen in the room for watching movies right from the comfort of my bed. The only downside was the high price point, but the value for such an experience was undeniable.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms offered a spectacular view, just like something out of a picture book. It was a bit of a downside that there was no television or radio in the room, but having a screen to watch movies right in front of the bed made up for it. The service was top-notch, and the hotel even provided a welcome drink upon arrival. The location was perfect, being right in the center of everything Bruges has to offer. The dining experience was delightful, with various foods served in just the right portion.
